Holiday Shopping Safety

Shopping centers can be a focus of crime and muggings at any time of the year.  However, during the holidays we are often even more vulnerable.

If you are a senior citizen, you are even more likely to become the victim of crime, since some young criminals may see you as easy prey.

You do not have to let yourself be the victim of crime, however.  There are some simple steps that you can take that will help you stay safe, especially while you are Christmas shopping.  Simply being more aware of your surroundings when you are doing your holiday shopping, and noticing the people who may be paying particular attention to you can make a difference.  Asking mall security to walk you to your car is also a good idea.
