How much time do you spend looking at blogs? Reading posts and getting bombarded with information. Trying to scan the garbage out of the few worth reading. Taking the time to post a backlink in the blogs your already on, makes a lot of sense if your trying to bookmark online content. Writing your own blog to exclusively advertise links to your work is also a good idea and can be leveraged with more writers content if you have a few friends that will post every day or so.
