Baby Boomer Retirement: Golf Cart Friendly Retirement Communities: The other day, while relaxing at our local Starbucks just outside one of the gates to our community, a golf cart with a surfboard tied to the roof pulled up.  Even though it is not actually possible to take a golf cart to our local beaches, it was fun to see this unusual accessory on the roof of a golf cart.

In addition to Starbucks, in our community it is possible to drive your golf cart to the grocery story, Home Depot, the drug store, several restaurants, and many other local businesses.  It is also possible to drive your golf cart to the various swimming pools, tennis courts and other community amenities.  And, of course, you could always use your golf cart to actually play golf!
