That prefect or near perfect eyesight is imperative in our daily lives cannot be overstated. However, owing to one reason or the other we all have to deal with decreased eyesight at some point in our lives.

How do you deal with such a situation without having to go through surgery or wearing contact lenses? There are a few tips and tricks that you can use to increase your ability to see. Here they are;

Consume Foods that Promote Eye Health… You journey to better sight without glasses starts with eating correctly. While you can’t change vision entirely with what you eat, ensure that your eyes are supplied with all the vitamins and minerals they need. Try as much as you can to have collards, spinach, citrus fruits, bananas, omega 3 fatty acids, zinc, lutein, vitamins C and E in your meals. You may not get all the food containing these foods from your grocery store; get the equivalent supplements that work perfectly as well.

Stop Smoking… Excessive smoking has been linked with macular degeneration and the nagging cataracts. Stop smoking and you’ll help improve your vision greatly. For addicts, you can join a rehabilitation center or seek services of a psychiatrist who will administer medical remedies to help curb the habit
Wear Sunglasses… Just like smoking, exposing your eyes to too much sunlight may lead to deterioration of the macular as well as development of cataracts which may negatively impact your quest to better sight without glasses. Ensure you have sunglasses to protect your eyes from the harmful UVA and UVB rays. Wrap round glasses are perfect since they’ll shield light from all sides of your eyes. Make it a habit of wearing sunglasses every time you step out in the sun.

Reduce the Strain in Your Eyes… The major reason why most people suffer from reduced eyesight has been attributed to strain in the eye. To reduce fatigue in your eyes these few tips would come in handy:
· Turn away from your computer after every 20 minutes and focus on a point 10 feet away for not than 10 seconds.

· Reduce the brightness on your computer screen, mobile phone or your television to the lowest level possible.

· Enlarge the text on your computer or mobile phone. This will ensure you don’t strain too much. If you have to read a book that has small letters, a magnifying glass would be very resourceful.
It’s the simple things that you ignore that could make the major difference in your endeavor for better sight without glasses. Like earlier mentioned, you can’t take your eyesight for granted. Take the necessary steps and be sure to exercise your eyes regularly.
